The Writer

Hey look! It's me!
Not happy with the guy's face in the last panel. If it's going to break the panel edge, it should have been much bigger - and therefore NEEED to break the panel.
Going to have to work on "imposing".

And the female has the same pose in the last two panels, but they're supposed to be different things - hand on chin thinking, and then hand in front of mouth, whispering. I have much to learn.

Much tighter shots, playing around with actions, and the characters are starting to become real character.
This experiment is coming along pretty well for something that I dreamed up on a train trip :)

Today's lessons:
  1. Erasing pencil lines really does make art look better.
  2. I was right on my first choice of fonts for the lettering.
  3. These people have to become characters. I'm already thinking about that.
I think I got the size right for the lettering this time. Final decision on fonts remains to be seen.

My First Webcomic

Hey, it's a start!

Lessons learned:
  1. Resize before lettering
  2. Learn how to ink
  3. Practice more (duh!)
Pencil lines are still visible because this is a learning experiment.

Not bad for 20 minutes. About 15 minutes more getting everything set up (drawing template, lettering template, website (very quick) redesign).
